Layla is taking some steps!
We're going to have a walker on our hands really soon.....
My brother was here for a quick visit last week. We hadn't seen him since our trip to Ethiopia but Layla definitely remembered him! We couldn't pry her out of his arms for most of the visit :) They are so sweet together and Cooper did a pretty good job sharing his uncle with his little sis.
We also went out for Ethiopian food while he was here. I've been missing Ethiopia...the sites, sounds, smells and most of all the people. I need to write about the trip before some of the details slip my memory. It was a pretty rough trip and yet I long to go back. I miss it....
So wonderful to have a couple days with my brother. So great to see the bond he shares with his niece. He went to Africa and back for her I think they will always share a special bond because if it.
Last picture as a family of three! I am sitting at the airport waiting to board a flight to DC. From there, we will head to Addis tomorrow and arrive on Sunday!
Can't wait to see my girl soon!Sent from my iPhone
This is a video that we put together to show at the shower that people from our church threw for us.
Some of you may have already seen this on facebook. This is a video of Layla that we made to show at our baby shower.
Staying home for a few days to work hard on potty training. 1st day = 2 accidents. 2nd day = 1 accident. Making progress!
We came back from our trip to find the approval from USCIS that we had been waiting for. So...after some running around on Monday, we were able to drop our completed dossier off at our adoption agency! So happy to be one step closer. And glad to be done with the paperwork!
